Who are you people?

We are two family related couples with roots in Namibia back four generations. We are living in Germany (Carsten & Sabine) and Denmark (Peter & Angela). Being blessed with a lot of lovely family in Namibia, and addicted to the awesome nature and wildlife, we are visiting Namibia at least once a year.

In 2019 we finished building our own architect designed homebase on the premises with lodge-facilities owned by some of our Namibian family.

Who can visit/rent the Bungalow?

Family and friends, friends of friends and trusted people we have connection to. Especially nature lovers seeking a beautiful retreat for peace and tranquility in one of the most serene places on Earth.

If you are a group of more than 4 persons, there will be a possibility to rent a separate bungalow from the lodge next to our bungalow.

Is Self Catering a possibility?

The bungalow is provided with a well equipped kitchen and built in grill/braai for 4-6 persons. On the other hand if you prefer to eat served meals on the lodge, you might have the opportunity as well, if this is arranged in advance. This will be payed to the lodge when you leave.

What’s the price of such a precious accommodation?

The bungalow can be rented private to private and is not a part of the lodge. Anyhow for access to the swimmingpool, bar and wildlife area of the lodge, there always will be day-rates of 10 € per person to be payed to the lodge. The rent for the bungalow will be payed to us. The bungalow has two bedrooms. Each bedroom has luxury equipment for two persons. Bedlinen, towels etc. will be fresh and ready for you.

You can choose to rent both bedrooms or just one. Each bedroom has a double bed and is spacious retreat for two persons. If you decide to rent only one of the bedrooms, be prepared to share the livingroom, kitchen and outdoor facilities with people renting the other bedroom. The price per bedroom will be 120 €. You have to bring your own food and drinks for the stay. In the kitchen a spacy freezer and fridge will be able to contain your supplies for a week. You can buy fresh supplies in Outjo, about a one-hour-drive from the bungalow.

Or not…
If you prefer to get served meals and buy drinks at the lodge with the lodge-guests, it can be arranged. You can get breakfast, coffee/tea & cake in the afternoon and dinner in the evening. It’ necessary to book this in advance. The rate for this will be 20 € per person per day and has to be payed to the lodge.. Cooldrinks, beer or the must-have-sundowner Gin & Tonic at the lodge bar are charged separately.

Cleaning will not be charged. However we expect you to leave the bungalows neat and tidy, and will only charge you extra cost if unusual effort or replacement of equipment is needed after your stay.

Where is the bungalow situated?

The bungalow is situated on the premises of a guest farm 400 km north of Windhoek between Outjo and Khorixas.

Not far from Twyfelfontein where one of the most extensive ancient Bushman’s rock art can been seen and close to Vingerklip, one of Namibia’s most famous and remarkable rock formations.

And last not least: only 2 hours drive away from Namibias greatest wildlife sanctuary Etosha National Park.

Is it safe?

Yes it is! Exceptional for this place is that you safely can walk around on your own in the Mopane forest. The lodge has prepared some maps for routes.

If you do this quiet with awareness, you might meet Giraffes, Zebras, Antelopes and a lot of other wildlife animals. From the terraces you can watch the waterhole frequently visited by game and birds. This year the waterhole occasionally was visited by a group of Elephants.

What about WiFi?

Even if the benefit of the unspoiled and serene nature in Namibia could be your greatest experience ever, you might occasionally want to share this with the rest of the world.

Maybe you also want to assure your family at home, that your are perfectly fine on your african adventure.

For that reason and for the digital nomads, who have the privilege, that they can work anywhere, both the bungalow and the lodge are provided with this facility.
